About Me

Rosie trained in Australia and in 2019 undertook Level 2 training with Terence in the UK and also attended the annual BWRT Congress. She has achieved certification in Level 2.

After completing her PhD in 1997 Rosie pursued extensive training in the area of complex traumas. She has a special interest in how particular negative and painful relationships with one's body are shaped and formed throughout the course of a person's life. Her multi-disciplinary thesis was awarded a high distinction and subsequently published as the book "Menopause Art and the Body". Prior to training as a psychoanalytic therapist Rosie had a distinguished career as an artist and teacher.

Specialisms

Rosie works with emotional and physical concerns linked to childhood traumas, sexual, physical and emotional abuse. These traumas manifest as fears, phobias, depression, migraines, eating disorders, suicide ideation, lack of confidence and an inability to form secure and safe relationships.

Rosie's work also encompasses trauma associated with adverse medical treatments and disabling illness. She brings a depth of compassion and wisdom to her work drawing on her love of learning, teaching, and the creation of trusting relationships.

Rosie is an accredited supervisor and former Principal of The Perth School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (WA). With an established clinical practice of 24 years she is available in person, by phone or Skype.
