BWRT® stands for BrainWorking Recursive Therapy and is a model of psychotherapy created in 2011 by Terence Watts, a UK psychotherapist, author and trainer. It was born out of a moment of inspiration while reading about some experiments carried out in 1983 which appeared to show that we don't actually have free will in the way we usually think of it - so we can't just decide to stop worrying, or stop having a panic attack, for example. That one moment of inspiration was a sudden realisation of exactly how we might get to work in the tiny 'cognitive gap' between when the brain begins to 'fire up' a problem and our conscious recognition of it. And that's exactly what BWRT® does, managing the anxiety, panic attack, fear, urge or other uncomfortable or unwanted response at source so you don't have to try to make it happen - BWRT® does that for you, and in the majority of cases, the troubling symptom is never experienced again! Even better, a lot of the time the work is completed in three sessions or less.
