DISCLAIMER: Although many of our practitioners have medical qualifications (including GPs and Psychiatrists), BWRT is not a medical organisation and we do not profess to diagnose, 'treat' or 'cure' medical conditions. BWRT is a form os psychotherapy and practitioners work solely with the psychological processes associated with any condition.
BWRT® stands for BrainWorking Recursive Therapy and was created in 2011 by Terence Watts, a UK psychotherapist, author and trainer. It was born out of a moment of inspiration while reading about some experiments carried out in 1983 which appeared to show that we don't actually have free will in the way we usually think of it - so we can't just decide to stop worrying, or stop having a panic attack, for example. This accounts for why:
That one moment of inspiration was a sudden realisation of exactly how we might get to work in the tiny 'cognitive gap' between when the brain begins to 'fire up' a problem and our conscious recognition of it. And that's exactly what BWRT® does, managing the anxiety, panic attack, fear, urge or other uncomfortable or unwanted response at source so you don't have to try to make it happen - BWRT® does that for you, and in the majority of cases, the troubling symptom is never experienced again! Even better, a lot of the time the work is completed in three sessions or less.
BWRT® provides help and support (sometimes for very serious conditions) for hundreds of people every day - the process is now being used not just in the UK, but also in South Africa, India, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Serbia, Albania... and almost everywhere else you might think of!

I became interested in hypnotherapy and psychotherapy when I used hypnotherapy to give up smoking. I had smoked for 30 plus years and made many attempts to kick the habit but had returned to the habit each time. This was in 2005 and since then I have not smoked a cigarette. As a result of my personal experience I trained as an analytical and solution-focused hypnotherapist and counsellor with Chrysalis (a UK based national training college). Since then I continue to develop my understanding, knowledge and skills as a therapist and was really thrilled to add BWRT to my “tool box”, which is often my go to for treating clients. There is nothing that fulfils me more than seeing the difference that my work as therapist makes to my clients.
